Spectron Laboratory Services in Gauteng is a small enterprise which was founded in 2014 primarily to serve smaller businesses that do not have the funds or expertise to successfully operate a laboratory on site to monitor their process and final product samples.
The initial focus was on by-product (dross) analysis from the Aluminium manufacturing process, but with the acquisition of additional analytical equipment and the need from industry for high quality, cost-effective and timeous results, the scope of work increased significantly.

Spectron Laboratory Services, based in Gauteng, is a small business established in 2014 to support smaller companies lacking the resources or expertise to operate their own laboratories for monitoring process and product samples.
Initially, the company specialized in analyzing by-products (dross) from the aluminium manufacturing process. However, as industry demand for reliable, affordable, and timely analytical services grew—and with the addition of new analytical equipment—the scope of services expanded considerably.

01. Crushing and splitting of samples
We provide precise crushing and splitting of samples to ensure accurate and representative analysis.
02. Milling of samples 85% <75um (per 100g or part thereof)
We offer sample milling to 85% <75µm, ensuring fine and consistent particle size (per 100g or part thereof).
03. Drying of samples <2kg @ 105°C
We provide sample drying at 105°C for quantities under 2kg, ensuring moisture removal for accurate analysis.
04.XRF Analysis
We offer XRF analysis for precise, non-destructive elemental composition of samples.

Management and staff commitment to providing high quality test results and excellent professional analytical consulting service to our clients. Tests are performed in accordance with stated methods, laboratory policies, procedures and the client’s requirements.
Any exceptions that may jeopardize the validity of the test results are clearly communicated to the client. A Quality System based on the concepts of ISO 17025 and ISO 9001 is utilized. The ISO standards are adapted to the extent feasible and significant given our client’s requirements.
